Abstract

In "Music as Basic Metaphor and Deep Structure in Plato and in Ancient Cultures," Patrick Heelan modified the concepts of Boolean algebra to accord with Plato's musicalized political theory in the fourth century BC.1 The result is a non-distributive lattice of partially ordered sets displayed in Figure 1.
